Vega trusting his actions definitely made things easier between them. Peter's actions were far more honest than his words were, so at least this way he didn't have to lie to the officer whenever they ran into each other like this. It also meant that he couldn't charm him with his usual flirting. Vega was interested in him for who he was, it seemed. It was kind of nice.

Which is why Vega gets to keep his arm wrapped around his waist as they walk through the back streets toward the bar. It's a big deal, since it would cause problems if Alliance officers saw them together. It could also cause problems for Quill, if his contacts saw him flirting and being friendly with someone as high-ranking as Vega. He didn't really care right now though, and eventually wraps his arm around Vega's waist as well.

"Fair enough, but you really need to tell your guys to watch their pockets around here. I'd give you the credits I stole off of one of them, but then they wouldn't learn anything about Omega," He smirks, leaning in just a little bit as they reach the bar. "I met actually let them catch me, in that case. Always wanted to fool around with you in one of the interrogation rooms."
